Educational Camps in Our School

In our school we have educational camps. These camps help us learn new things in a fun way. We study, play, and make new friends. Teachers and students work together. Camps make school more interesting.

We have two types of camps: summer camp and winter camp.

The summer camp is in June. The weather is warm. We play outside, do sports, and go on small trips. We also have art, music, and English lessons. I like the long sunny days in summer camp.

The winter camp is in January. The weather is cold. We stay inside more. We read books, watch movies, and play indoor games. We also have science and math activities. Winter camp is cozy and quiet.

I prefer the summer camp because I enjoy warm weather. I like playing outside with my friends. Summer camp feels happy and active for me.

Educational camps are good for students. They help us learn, have fun, and spend time with friends. I think every school should have camps like ours.

What are the advantages of studying at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex?

Studying at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex has many advantages. In our school, lessons are conducted using computers, which is a great benefit in today’s world. From an early age, students start to master digital tools and skills. For example, we actively use blogs, which play a big role in the daily life of our learners.

First, it’s important to explain why this is necessary. The world is developing very quickly, and technology has become an inseparable part of almost every field of life. That’s why we, the Sebastatsi students, are taught to use blogs from an early age as both an educational and creative platform. I have been studying at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex since kindergarten, and I have had my own blog since the third grade, where I publish posts almost every day. The blog is not only a part of our learning process but also a way of self-expression. The design, style, and content of each learner’s blog often reflect their personality, interests, and creativity.

Our learning process also includes a unique subject called “Choice.” During these classes, each student decides what kind of activity or direction they want to learn. The “Choice” program is similar to clubs, but it’s more developed and takes place four hours a week. There are many options to choose from, such as sports, languages, computer technologies, arts, and more. This gives every learner the freedom to explore and develop their own interests.

Physical education is also an important part of our school. Students can choose which sport they want to practice. The EduComplex offers different sports such as basketball, football, shooting, gymnastics, table tennis, and others. Each sport has its own space and proper facilities.

Projects also play a key role in our educational process. They can be academic, creative, or travel-based. Starting from the seventh grade, every student must have an individual project and work on it regularly. For example, my individual project is translation. I choose fables from different nations and translate them from English into Armenian, aiming to improve my language skills and enrich Armenian literature with more fables.

Our three-day travel projects are also very interesting. They give us the chance not only to explore our homeland but also to learn new things through readings, games, and creative activities. These trips are both educational and spiritually enriching experiences.

In conclusion, studying at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex gives students many opportunities to develop, make independent decisions, and think creatively. Studying here means being free, active, and in harmony with the modern world. I am proud to study at this EduComplex.

In the central part is the Alexandrapol Fortress with 3 gates, in the center is the Church of St. Alexandra The plan of the church and the southern and northern fortresses that formed the general defensive complex of Alexandrapol. Underground passages were built for the Black Fortress and there were roads from the fortress to the current Mother Armenia monument and the Red Fortress. It is included in the list of immovable monuments of history and culture of Gyumri

Among the architectural monuments of Zangezur, the Tatev Monastery has no equal. It was the richest monastic complex of medieval Armenia. In addition to being a spiritual center, Tatev was also an important political stronghold of the Syunik Kingdom. The strategically advantageous location and inaccessibility of the monastery created favorable conditions here to create strong defensive structures. In unfavorable political conditions, the numerous secret passages within the monastery complex served as a means of communication with the outside world:

House-museum of Martiros Saryan

Today we went to the house-museum of Martiros Saryan. He painted many different paintings.

We were told that his paintings are divided into three periods. The first period was called “Fairy Tales and Dreams”. He painted the paintings in that collection with watercolors, using the wet paper technique. He depicted the fusion of dreams and tales.

The pictures of the second period were painted by him during his travels, mostly while going to Egypt. In the paintings of that collection, he included a lot of national symbols of that country. For example, pyramids, masks, the Armenian symbol of eternity, etc. Also, unlike the first period, his paintings became more colorful.

After his travels, he returns to Armenia and builds his house (the project of which was drawn by Alexander Tamanyan), which at first had only a studio and a living area. And then in 1967 his museum was built next to his house. He was one of the few people whose museum was opened during his lifetime, and what’s more, he himself was present. was at the opening.

In the museum, we were also shown the living area of his house and his studio.

Everything was very beautiful, I was impressed and I will visit that museum again with pleasure next time.

Here are some pictures:
